Translindo Supports Rainer Zietlow’s Record-Breaking Electric Journey

Embarking on an extraordinary global adventure, Rainer Zietlow, an eight-time Guinness World Record holder, is once again pushing the limits of electric mobility. Behind the wheel of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Long Wheelbase (LWB), Zietlow began his ambitious journey from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ headquarters in Hannover, Germany, on July 24, 2025. His goal is to set a new Guinness World Record for visiting the most countries in a single trip using a fully electric vehicle.

More than a record attempt, this expedition also celebrates innovation, endurance, and sustainable travel. Spanning over 80,000 kilometers across more than 75 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas, the journey showcases the true capabilities of electric vehicles. Over the course of eight months, Zietlow and his team will navigate diverse terrains, demonstrating that electric mobility can conquer any distance while promoting environmental responsibility.

At the centre of this mission is the Volkswagen ID. Buzz LWB, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that represents the future of smart, sustainable transportation. Its advanced engineering ensures efficiency, safety, and comfort throughout this epic voyage.

As in his previous world-record projects, Zietlow collaborates with trusted partners around the globe. During his visit to Indonesia, Translindo is proud to contribute in supporting his record-breaking mission. Our team assisted Zietlow by temporarily importing his ID. Buzz into Jakarta, enabling him to easily continue his journey across Indonesia.

From Jakarta to Semarang to Surabaya, Zietlow will drive the ID. Buzz while participating in promotional events that inspire communities to adopt sustainable mobility. After his activities in Surabaya, Translindo will facilitate the export of the vehicle from Jakarta to Brisbane, Australia, ensuring the next leg of his journey continues efficiently .
