Indonesia has moved the halal certification deadline for imported food, beverages and slaughtered products from October 2026 to 18 October 2028, giving importers two more years to check supplier certificates and plan registration under the new timetable.

Global air cargo demand is expected to remain supported by expanding trade and technology-related shipments, but the industry’s long-term performance will depend on its ability to balance growing transportation needs with escalating fuel costs and sustainable profitability.
